Terminal Development

The people at TGS have built reputations as innovators for their approach to terminal development and intraplant infrastructure. TGS has developed about 13 In-Plant and Greenfield sites since 1997, including 9 vessel and barge docks. In many cases, TGS uses its own capital to develop new infrastructure inside of the refineries’ or plants’ fence lines in order to better serve TGS customers. Prior to completing a transaction with Kinder Morgan Terminals in 2005, TGS handled more than 20% of the global market of fuel grade petroleum coke through its network of export terminals that were developed entirely in-house. TGS continues to develop terminals, and it works with customers to identify and eliminate bottle-necks that occur in the material handling and logistics process.
